Two weeks at the school taught us quite a lot of Spanish! We’re feeling more confident now (though we sound like foreigners for sure). The teachers are all very dedicated. Teaching Spanish is considered to be a good job in Ecuador. We think they might be earning about $5 per hour, as the price per hour for our one-one sessions was about $11 and we assume the school takes a lot of that to cover their costs. Classes were often conducted in Spanish, so they really required a lot of us.
